Specific Work - GHB acts for several major banks. Brenden attends to the majority of commercial litigation in relation to these clients involving the enforcement of securities.
- Brenden acts for a number of large land holders in relation to their development and leasing disputes.
- Bankruptcy proceedings against individual debtors.
- Brenden has provided expert advice and evidence to tier 1 and tier 2 firms in respect of litigation based professional indemnity insurance claims in Supreme Court of NSW proceedings.
- Claims for, and defences to, unfair dismissal.
- Applications for variation of contracts for employment.
- Proceedings in the Supreme Court and Administrative Decisions Tribunal under the Retail Lease Act, 1994 for both landlords and tenants.
- Receivership involving advising and taking proceedings on behalf of Receivers.
- Liquidation involving advising and taking proceedings on behalf of Liquidators.
- Setting aside of Wills, interpretations of Wills, actions for and against executors and actions under the Family Provision Act.

Expertise Brenden is a member of the Law Society Litigation Law and Practice Committee and the Supreme Court of New South Wales Equity Division Users Group. Brenden was also a member of the Attorney General’s Strategic Quality Team undertaking a review of Civil Procedure in New South Wales with a view to implementing uniform rules throughout the various Court jurisdictions. Brenden has provided commentary for the Law Society on the Possession List established in the Supreme Court of New South Wales. This Possession List handles all mortgagee claims lodged with the Supreme Court of New South Wales. Brenden’s commentary was passed onto the Chief Justice of New South Wales for his consideration.
