Our firm decided some years ago it should reduce its size due to a belief that to provide “service” both to our clients and the public, a firm either had to be small enough for each partner to have personal control over client relations, or so large that its clients did not expect to deal with partners on a personal basis.
The partners of the firm decided they wished to be personally in contact and control of their clients maters so the firm decided to limit the practice to specialist areas.
